Anurag Kashyap and Nawazuddin Siddiqui share a great bond. They have worked together on shows like Gangs Of Wasseypur & Sacred Games. While everyone is aware of the massive popularity of the show, the director-actor duo is crazy about each other as well. Quite literally, that they joke about marrying each other! Below is all the scoop you need.
The actor described his relationship with Anurag in his autobiography. The actor spoke about how their friendship has evolved over the years. What’s exciting is that Kashyap even calls his actor-friend an ‘item girl.’ If that isn’t it, they were even okay to marry each other, had one of them been a girl.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui wrote, “If either Anurag or I were a girl, we would have married each other. Sometime over the years, he began saying, ‘Tu toh meri item girl hai!’ (You’re my item girl!), and he continues to tease me thus, till today. ‘Badi zabardast shaadi hoti hamari!’”

Nawazuddin Siqqui continued, “We keep clowning around, but seriously, if either one of us were a girl, we would have married each other. I am his muse, he says, and he is mine, I tell him.”
For the unversed, Anurag Kashyap and Siddiqui’s association began with Black Friday (2004). Post that, they continued their collab with Gangs Of Wasseypur, Raman Raghav 2.0 & Sacred Games.
Anurag too once spoke about their ‘silent relationship.’ In 2013, on a talk show, the filmmaker said, “We can even sit in a plane without talking for three hours straight.”
They even plan to ‘divorce’ once they get bored of their collaboration. “When Nawaz and I get bored of the collaboration, we will divorce each other. We already know what we have done together so we won’t repeat. If I have something new, I will go to Nawaz, otherwise, I won’t,” said Anurag Kashyap in a conversation with PTI.
