Lady Gaga is one of the most loved superstars in Hollywood. She began her career as a singer and there was no looking back. With the blink of an eye, songs like Bad Romance, Born This Way went viral. Over the years, she has also turned into an actress. But the journey wasn’t easy. The singer is now opening up about her rape incident and the consequences of it.
For the unversed, Gaga has previously revealed about being ‘repeatedly raped’ when she was 19. She couldn’t deal with the trauma for years post the tragic incident and developed PTSD. A Star Is Born actress has now opened up about her driving force during that tough time.
In an interview with Oprah Magazine, Lady Gaga revealed, “After I was raped, I cried on her couch for days,’ she explained. ‘Eventually, she turned on MTV and told me to look up. A female artist was performing. My grandmother said, “I’ll let you cry the rest of the day, but then tomorrow you’re going to go back out and make a real change in this world. No more tears tomorrow.”
