X-Men’s much-awaited spin-off The New Mutants finally hit 2412 theatres in the USA after a long wait. However, the film hasn’t got a favourable response from the audience and critics which has now dimmed its chances in the future.
The New Mutants in its opening weekend collected $7 million in the USA and $2.9 million from international markets. Earlier it was imagined that the film’s collections may have got hurt due to pandemic situation, but the numbers are only falling down since day 1.
In the USA, the film collected $3.1 million on Day 1. The collections dropped on Day 2 and the result was just $2.45 million. On Day 3, the numbers dropped further and the film managed to collect $1.45 million only. But, The New Mutants totally crashed on Monday as it could rake up just $450 k. The drop from Friday-Monday is around 85% which is huge and it means the film will probably end its lifetime soon.
