Here is a piece of good news for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet’s fans. The movie has grossed more than $100 million at the global box office. Yes, you have read it right! The film has performed really good despite pandemic conditions and reached a milestone of $100 million.
The pandemic of coronavirus even couldn’t stop Tenet from having an amazing run. Most theatres around the world have reopened, but are following strict policies to curb the spread of the virus.
Needless to say, Tenet is the first major Hollywood blockbuster to be released after the outbreak of coronavirus. According to variety, “The Chinese historical war epic ‘The Eight Hundred’ is currently jockeying with ‘Tenet’ for first place at the box office in the Middle Kingdom. Warner Bros., the studio behind ‘Tenet,’ is not releasing domestic numbers until Sunday. The film opened in the U.S. this week, but will not screen in major markets such as Los Angeles and New York City where theatres remain closed due to coronavirus.”

The report also suggested that Warner Bros. are hopeful that their film will give them a reasonable profit on Tenet’s $200 million budget. As per the studio’s expectations, the film should at least cross the $450 million mark worldwide, and with its international take of $100 million this week, it seems possible that the film could cross that threshold.
“Tenet” comes with a powerful star cast like John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Kenneth Branagh and Elizabeth Debecki. Moreover, when it’s Christopher Nolan who is helming the film, the fair returns become mandatory. What’s your take on this? Comment and tell!
