Back in March 2019, Akshay Kumar and Amazon Prime Video made a huge announcement together. It was about Akshay’s huge digital debut with action-packed thriller series, ‘The End.’ The multi-season thriller was said to be set on a huge budget and was under development.
Then it was reported last month that the show will go on floors in the second half of 2021.
However, now there’s a new update. According to fresh reports, ‘The End’ won’t go on floors before the end of 2021 because its conceptualisation and writing is taking some time in shaping up. The show has been set on a never seen before scale for an Indian OTT series. ‘The End’ which will be a survival thriller set in an alternate futuristic timeline of universe is taking long in pre-production.

Interestingly, it will be a race against time for Akshay Kumar in the show which will be shot in different parts of the world.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s movie Laxmmi Bomb is all set to premiere on Disney+Hotstar soon. The film was supposed to be an Eid 2020 theatrical release but opted for a direct OTT release due to pandemic. His Sooryavanshi was also slated to release in March this year but got postponed. However, Akshay Kumar has continued signing new projects even during the lockdown. Apart from Laxmmi Bomb, Sooryavanshi, Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, Bell Bottom, he has signed new films like Atrangi Re, Ekta Kapoor’s next & Raksha Bandhan.
