Tron franchise has built its own fan base over the years and expectedly, the news of Tron 3 in the making, has sparked excitement amongst the followers. But there’s something which is bothering the fans and it’s the association of Suicide Squad actor, Jared Leto.
Although there’s no official confirmation from the makers or Jared’s side either, Tron fans are very much upset as Leto’s name is doing the rounds for the third instalment. There are certain fan sites of Disney which are claiming that there are high chances of the 48-year-old joining the cast.
As per the report in The Dis Insider, “A couple of months back, our trusted source informed us that a Tron reboot with Jared Leto is still in the works with a director search underway.” Another fan site named DR Movie News quotes, “Disney confirms that Tron 3 is officially in development. The Suicide Squad actor is reportedly in talks to star. A director search is underway, but the studio is hopeful that Tron: Legacy director Joseph Kosinski returns, as well as Daft Punk for the score.”

Reacting to such speculations, fans took to Twitter and expressed their opinions. The opinions were mostly negative and most of them trolled the actor for his ‘bombed’ act of Joker in Suicide Squad and were concerned if he does same to Tron 3.
One Twitter user wrote, “Was excited for Tron 3 but I really hope Jared Leto isn’t in it. Like we get it, you were a horrible joker and want redemption but stop trying to be in everything.”
