Ever since Marvel got the rights of 20th Century Fox, everyone wants to know if Hugh Jackman will return as Wolverine or not. However, the Logan actor has clearly said that he has no wish to reprise the clawed superhero. The talented actor played the character for 17 years and retired from it in 2017. Now, Avengers: Endgame director Joe Russo shared his views on the same.
Ever since Hugh Jackman refused to play Wolverine, Marvel is looking for a replacement. But Joe Russo feels that Marvel Studios should take a break before replacing someone else with Hugh. In an interaction with ComicBookMovie, Joe shared his view and it makes sense.
The Avengers: Endgame co-director said, “I mean, Wolverine was always one of my favourite characters. Incredible Hulk #181 was one of the first comic books that I remember collecting, which was the first appearance of Wolverine. Hugh Jackman has done an incredible job with that character over the years, and I think they should take a break for a little while before someone else takes a crack at it.”

Along with Wolverine, MCU also acquired the rights to other X-Men characters and Fantastic Four. Fans are even curious to see how Marvel treats Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool. Deadpool movies are explicitly R-rated and MCU movies are totally opposite. So everyone’s wondering how that’s going to work out.
