Star Wars movies are responsible for entertaining the world for so many years. It all started back in 1977 and until 2019 it has entertained several generations. The series has a huge and loyal fan-base and it won’t be wrong to say that it’s one of the top-most film franchises in the world.

Star Wars has 11 films (including 2 spin-offs) which released at the box office over the years, and most of them have managed to hit the jackpot thanks to the immense popularity of the franchise among masses.

From 1977 to 1983, Star Wars saw the release of its original trilogy – Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope, Star Wars: Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back & Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. It followed up with prequel trilogy in the period of 1999 and 2005. The films were Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones & Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. Then there’s sequel trilogy in the period of 2015 & 2019 which had some of the biggest grossers like Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi & Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker.

Then 2 spin-off films also released in between. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in 2016 and Solo: A Star Wars Story in 2018.
