Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise on June 14 sent shockwaves across the country. The actor died by hanging himself at his Bandra residence. Singh’s family, friends, colleagues and fans are having a hard time accepting the truth that he is no more.
Anyone who speaks of the late actor has only good things to say. The directors who worked with Sushant Singh Rajput have heaped praises on him. His Sonchiriya director Abhishek Chaubey remembers all the good time with Singh and shared how he was as a person.
Abhishek Chaubey told Indian Express, “Sushant was one of a kind. I don’t think I have come across another male Bollywood star like him.” Chaubey found Sushant Singh Rajput unique as compared to other male leads in Bollywood.

“During Sonchiriya, we would, of course, speak a lot about the film and Sushant Singh Rajput’s character, but there was never any conversation about the business or the film industry. He wasn’t obsessed with his career. He was not insecure about marketing himself or his films. He would talk about science, the universe, astronomy, philosophy. It was very interesting and freeing,” added Abhishek Chaubey.
Abhishek spoke to the MS Dhoni actor in April. They had a casual chat about COVID-19 and lockdown. The Udta Punjab director mentioned that his death was a bolt from the blue and he is unable to process it. Chaubey said he won’t be able to watch Sushant Singh Rajput’s Sonchiriya now. He said, “It will be too much for me. That moment in the film where Lakhna has a vision of his alternate life, has taken a completely different meaning in my head. It will be too emotional. It has taken a life of its own.”
