Beyonce has earlier lent support in the ongoing protests against racism in the US. After George Floyd died due to the US Police brutality, she took to Instagram to demand justice for him and said that we cannot normalise this pain.
According to variety.com, she also shared a link that takes one to a page on her website where four petitions are listed for fans to sign.
In a video, she can be seen demanding justice for George Floyd whose daylight murder was witnessed by everyone. “We’re broken and we’re disgusted. We cannot normalise this pain,” she said.
She also added that she is not only speaking to people of colour. “If you’re white, black, brown or anything in between, I’m sure you feel hopeless by the racism going on in America right now,” she said.
“No more senseless killings of human beings. No more seeing people of colour as less than human. We can no longer look away. George is all of our family in humanity. He’s our family because he’s a fellow American.” she explained.
