When the lockdown started, The Office actor John Krasinski started his Youtube show, Some Good News or SGN. The actor intended to share good news from all over the world with people as everyone is dealing with the pandemic. Within a few episodes, the show became an instant hit.
In Some Good News, our beloved Jim Halpert acts as a news reporter and shares hopeful and positive news with people. In his first episode, John Krasinki invited his The Office co-star Steve Carell to join him on the video call for the show. A few days ago, we all got to see the reunion of the cast. But recently, John shared that SGN is licensed to ViacomCBS.
On his Twitter page, The Office star John Krasinki shared, “Wow who can believe when we started this thing together we all just wanted good news to be more fully represented in our everyday lives. And now? You quite literally ARE the good news! Thanks to you, SGN lives on, joining the ranks of this historic news network! See you all soon!” But fans aren’t happy with the actor’s tweet and update about his YouTube show.

One of the fans wrote, “So he made 8 YouTube videos comprised largely of unpaid contributions from fans, sold the brand to a major conglomerate, and isn’t even going to make it anymore? Just cashed out? Does this rub anyone else the wrong way, kinda?”
Another The Office/John Krasinki fan tweeted, “This will lose the heart of SGN and become just another corporate money making watered down version of what it once was”.

It seems like the official Twitter account of John Krasinki’s Some Good News indirectly responded to the fans’ reactions.
