Amid the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, Amazon Prime and Netflix have literally been a rescue. This remains the time when the idle users are spending their maximum time on the streaming platforms. However, recently a report suggested that both the giants are considering a budget cut. This meant shows like The Family Man 2 & Mirzapur 2 will see some monetary changes behind the scenes.
All of this started when journalist Rajeev Masand shared the news of both Netflix and Amazon Prime slashing budgets of their shows months ago. His report further stated that The Family Man creator Raj & DK have even agreed to pay cuts. As per the new budgets, alterations have been made and the duo would be making profits than what they would have originally made.
However, Raj & DK took to their Twitter yesterday to quash all such rumours. They also clarified that The Family Man 2 starring Manoj Bajpayee in lead has already been shot, so the rumours remain baseless.

“We’ve been getting calls about news that we are facing budget cuts on #TheFamilyMan. We have NOT been asked to cut budgets on either this show or any of our upcoming shows. In fact we have finished the shoot on TFM, so the topic of budget cuts is not even relevant,” tweeted The Family Man makers.
Meanwhile, similar reports have also been doing the rounds with Zoya Akhtar’s Made In Heaven 2 and Mirzapur 2. It is said co-creators Reema Kagti and Zoya have agreed on reducing the number of episodes to ensure no compromise in quality. On the other hand, Mirzapur 2 has already been shot but the makers have agreed to a similar deal.
However, there has been no official confirmation made by either Mirzapur or Made In Heaven directors.
