We all have been waiting for the time when we would get to see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on our screens again. Though the lady is pretty active and we see her every now and then at various events, but it has been a while since ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, her last outing was released. (Also Read: Hail the QUEEN! However, we will be seeing her very soon as the gorgeous actress is busy with the shoot of ‘Fanne Khan’. Not just this, she will also be seen in the remake of 1967 classic ‘Raat Aur Din’, which starred veteran actress Nargis Dutt in a double role.
And now, if sources are to be believed, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has quoted a fee of Rs 10 crore for the movie, wherein he will be reprising the double role of the legendary actress.
A source revealed the same to Mid-Day, “Since Aishwarya has a double role, the film will require extensive preparation. It will be a time-consuming project, which means she will have to let go of the other films that come her way. The fee she has quoted is fair. The producers have agreed to the amount without any negotiation.”
The source has further added the displeasure of a few within the arena, regarding a 44-year-old actress getting such a huge amount. The source adds, “The makers have discussed the tribute film with Sanjay. Since Aishwarya has wrapped up her parts for Fanne Khan, she will start prepping for the film soon. Though trade insiders are squirming at the possibility of a 44-year-old female actor walking home with a fat pay cheque, producer Prernaa Arora believes that Ash is putting a lot at stake for her film, and the fee is warranted.”
Well, it’s a good thing that the makers do realise her potential and are willing to pay her an amount which is worth the actress of her stature, and nominal if compared to some of the male actors. It’s high time our talented actresses to raked in moolah for the hard work they put in.
